Are you having trouble choosing the right foundation shade for your skin? Don’t worry, we have all been there. There are some rules that you have to follow. In return you will get the perfect natural look and people will hardly notice that you are wearing make up at all.
1. Determine your skin tone
Visit a near make up store (without make up of course) that has a wide choice of different labels. Firstly you have to determine your skin tone. Testers can be of a great help. Every tester is marked with shade colour. Take a little more time to figure this one out because it’s the most important step when buying foundation. The most appropriate place for trying foundations out is jawline. But you can also try it on the back of your hand.
2. Determine your skin type
Secondly, be very careful for what type of skin foundation is made for. If you have oily skin choose the one with mat effect, it will prevent your skin from shining. If your skin is dry choose moisturising foundation. I recommend liquid foundation or foundation in a stick, because it looks more natural and doesn’t create a face mask.
If your skin is sensitive or acne-prone, choose antibacterial foundation that doesn’t contains alcohol. Alcohol could be very aggressive towards your skin and can causes even more damage. Rather, choose foundation on natural base.
